The Washington Post is reporting that the fear of a government shutdown is closer to becoming a reality as the White House could not come to an agreement with the GOP’s budget cuts. This means that if an agreement is not reached by tonight, preparations for a shutdown will begin.
What this means is that there could be disruptions in the postal service, welfare and other entitlements, or any other federal government assisted program.
We have to get together on this. This country seems so polarized politically right now and it is more evident as the White House cannot come to terms with the Republicans in the short term or long term budget cuts.
Is the sky falling? Did Y2K come 11 too late? Will I be glad we live off the grid in militia-land, NC? We will see. For right now, I need to get some things in the mail before it’s too late.
